Casting Girl (7–10 years old) NATIVE SPEAKER OF AMERICAN ENGLISH
Shooting in Germany, Summer 2025
Cassandra Han Casting and Sien Josephine Casting are conducting a wide search across the European Union for a girl aged 7–10, who speaks native US-English, to play an important role in a major upcoming American indie film shooting in Germany from June 24, 2025.
The character is the daughter of the lead male character.
Shooting Location: Germany Shooting Period: Starting June 24, 2025 (exact dates vary per role) Contracted, paid roles
All travel and accommodation will be covered; the child will be accompanied by a parent or guardian during production. ----
Who we are looking for: - Girls aged 7–10 - Caucasian/white background, as this character plays the daughter of a white American father - Must speak standard American English at a native level - Based in the European Union - Natural presence, strong emotional instinct, and the ability to listen and react truthfully on screen - No previous acting experience is required, but the child should feel comfortable in front of a camera and be able to take direction well ---- To apply: Parents or legal guardians, please send the following materials: - Recent headshot & full-body photo - Showreel or acting clip (if available) - Self-tape (see below) Selftape: We’d love to get to know your child in a natural and relaxed way. This doesn’t have to be polished or rehearsed — a simple phone recording is perfect. Please record the following two parts in one continuous take. Natural light and a quiet background are helpful, but don’t worry too much — we’re more interested in who your child is than in production quality. Have your child speak directly to the camera in American English, introducing themselves in their own words. They can share: their name, where they live, a few things they enjoy or love doing. Let them speak freely and naturally. We’re looking for a sense of who they are.
Next, we’d love to see your child introduce us to a stuffed animal, doll, or toy that is special to them — something they have a connection with. They should tell us about it as if they’re sharing a secret with a new friend.
For example: What’s the toy’s name? Where did it come from? What kind of things do they imagine together? What makes it important? This isn’t about being funny or dramatic — we’re simply interested in how your child expresses themselves and how they use their imagination when they feel safe and seen.

We understand that applying can be exciting (and sometimes a little nerve-wracking), and we’re truly grateful for the time and care you put into the submission. While we may not be able to respond to everyone individually, please know that every application will be viewed with attention and respect. We’re looking forward to discovering someone truly special!
Thank you & best of luck!
