International Casting Workshop


Cyprus Film Days × Filmmakers Europe


Professional actors based in Cyprus are invited to apply for an exclusive casting workshop with three internationally renowned casting directors working across major international film and television productions. Participation is limited. Actors will be selected directly by the casting directors from all eligible applicants. The workshop takes place as part of Cyprus Film Days International Festival.


Casting Directors


Alexandra Montag is a German casting director working internationally across major film and television productions. Her work includes The Grand Budapest Hotel, TÁR, The Teachers’ Lounge, The Zone of Interest, Franz and September 5. Her television work includes the international series Other People’s Money (ZDF/DR).

Juliette Ménager is a French casting director known for her work across international productions including Babel, The Dreamers, Da 5 Bloods, and September 5. Her television work includes Franklin, The New Look, Marie Antoinette, Emily in Paris and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.

Lucinda Syson is a London-based casting director whose work includes major international productions such as Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Children of Men, Snatch, Aladdin, X-Men: First Class, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, September 5 and Wonder Woman. Her recent television work includes Foundation, The Sandman, The Diplomat and The New Look.


Workshop Format


The workshop is free of charge for selected actors. Travel and accommodation are not covered. A limited number of participants will be selected and divided into three small groups, each working directly with one casting director. Participants will work on a One-Minute Monologue in English, receive feedback, and gain insight into international casting processes. The workshop concludes with a public monologue performance during Cyprus Film Days in Nicosia. 


Who Can Apply


Applicants must be professional actors, be currently based in Cyprus, be fluent in English and be available in Cyprus on April 20, 2026, as travel and accommodation is not covered by the festival. 


How to Apply


Submit a One-Minute Monologue in English through the application form on this page. From all eligible applications, the casting directors will personally select a limited number of actors for the workshop. A short online preparation meeting with the selected participants will take place in April.
