Casting Society (CSA) Global Chapter presents a practical Self-tape workshop with casting directors Thyrza Ging and Cassandra Han. The workshop is delivered in collaboration with Spotlight and Filmmakers Europe as part of the Galway Film Fleadh industry programme.
Actors are invited to submit a self-taped One-Minute Monologue in English for the opportunity to be selected for this special session. Thirty actors will be selected to participate in the workshop. Places are limited, and applications are welcomed from actors at all stages of their careers. Selected participants will receive live feedback on their self-tapes during the session, while all selected actors will benefit from the professional insight, discussion and guidance shared throughout the workshop.
Using self-tapes as case studies, Thyrza Ging and Cassandra Han will share practical advice on what casting directors look for, common self-tape mistakes, technical considerations, performance choices and how actors can prepare effectively for screen opportunities. The workshop is free of charge for selected actors. Travel and accommodation are not covered.

Casting Directors
Cassandra Han is a two-time Artios Award-nominated casting director based in Munich and President of Casting Society (CSA) Global Chapter. Her work spans European, UK and US productions, with recent credits including The Weight, Samia, The German and The Physician II.
Thyrza Ging is a casting director at Louise Kiely Casting, working across Irish and international film and television. Her credits include Kin, The Tourist, Obituary, Twig, Grown Ups and Wednesday Season 3.
Workshop Format
This is an application-only casting workshop. Places are limited, and applications are welcomed from actors at all stages of their careers.

Who Can Apply
Applicants should be available in Galway on 11 July 2026 and able to participate in the workshop in English.
